The Dune Rider (Hidalgo 2004)

Inspired by the hat made by Baron Hats and worn by Viggo Mortensen in "Hidalgo"

When Baron Hats was asked to create the hat Viggo Mortensen wears for his starring role in the Touchstone Pictures cult classic motion picture, "Hidalgo", we knew we had a tall order. First of all, the hat had to be a character onto itself. It had to be something very special and very original, and secondly, we were working with one of the greatest costume designers in the business, the legendary Jeffrey Kurland, who has an eye for amazing detail. We've had the honor of working with him many times before, and he always challenges and inspires us! This hat had to invoke both realism and heroism of the main character of Frank Hopkins, who had a strong sense of humanity and an almost visionary political morality.

The Dune Rider is available in 100% Western Weight Fur Felt or the original production 200XXX 100% Beaver (New or Aged)
