Our
special packaging of the “Royal Wedding Hat”

Hats has always prided itself on the way we’ve cared for our
“babies” when shipped. Through the years we’ve developed our own
patented nine step packaging system, including our own custom built
shipping boxes. However, when we decided to offer the elaborate and
delicately exquisite “Royal Wedding” hat, we realized we had to
take this several hundred steps further to insure that the hat, and
all its feathers, “fils de tissu” and other accoutrements come to
you as fresh and perfectly arranged as the moment they leave our
studio. So after extensive research, we’ve developed our “Royal
Treatment Shipping”™ . Because each hat has its own custom form
created around it, and the box must be oversized to insure the hat’s
safety, there is an extra charge for shipping and handling. But its
well worth the trouble!

1.
Each hat is covered with our own special anti-acid tissue
paper.

2.
The hat is then seated in a specially made foam "platform",
and secured with modeling pines.

3. The crown
cavity is then layered with anti-acid tissue, and placed in our specially built reinforce sidewall boxes
(with lots of “FRAGILE” labels on all sides!) and
sealed and secured with “adoucissez le contact” adhesive
tape. |

The entire hat and platform is then form covered. A special
coated string is then anchored from the platform to the bottom
of the box.

5.
The spaces around the hat are then hand packed and inspected
to make sure there is no movement during shipment.

All sides of the box are then carefully inspected and sealed
before shipping. (Note in picture, the coated string
"anchor" at the bottom of the box).

charges are added to your invoice.
